What makes Dead Sea Bath Salts Special
The waters of the Dead Sea are unique, having a total salt concentration that is 10 times higher than ocean water, reaching 33/o versus 3%. But that is not all!!! The cormposition of the brines is also unique, comprising magnesium, potassium and calcium chlorides, in addition to a high concentration of bromides.
This extraordinary chemical composition has made the Dead Sea an ideal spot for people seeking relief from the skin and rheumatic disorders, and equally popular choice for vacationers seeking relaxation. In fact, these soothing, miracle-working waters have a reputation that dates back over 2000 years when the Roman historian Flavius noted...."The Dead Sea cannot be praised too highly ....travelers take this salt home because it heals the human body and is therefore used in many medicines."
Inexpensive and no side effects
These major benefits have today been incorporated into personal-use bath salts, making immediately accessible, and ready for use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - whenever anyone, anywhere wants to relief or relaxation.

DEAD SEA MINERAL MUD
Dead Sea mud is actually sediment of the sea. Also called pelloid, the rich mineral mud has proved highly beneficial for therapeutic as well as cosmetic treatments. The mud is an alluvial deposit containing organic animal and plant remains (algae) with a mixture of salts and minerals from the Dead Sea lake. The mineral composition of the mud consists of non- soluble tiny grains of silicates and carbonates with a high level of soluble mineral solution between the grains. This solution is similar to that of Dead Sea brine, and also contains bituminous substances and hormones originating from the algae.
Unlike the sea brine, the mud also contains sulphide compounds from biological sources.
Dead Sea mineral mud has been found to be very efficient for a wide range of rheumatic ailments as well as for cosmetic use. It is used for mud packs and is ideal for smearing directly onto the face and body. The mud absorbs large amounts of water which gives it its considerable degree of elasticity.
The Dead Sea mud's special heat retaining feature allows it to be applied to the skin at relatively high temperatures for longer periods of time. It takes, for example, about 14 minutes for this mud to drop from 18 degrees to 17 degrees. Thus Dead Sea mineral mud can be applied on the body at relatively high temperatures (about 40'C).
Pelotherapy - mineral mud treatments
The rich black mud stimulates blood circulation, maintains skin moisture and eases ailing points. Therapeutic treatment include covering the body in 5-10 kilos of heated mud for a duration of 20-30 minutes. The heat is slowly conducted to the joints and limbs, easing muscles and relaxing the body. Treatments with heated mineral mud packs are available at most hotels at the Dead Sea. Some hotels also offer a treatment with special oils durable on saline solutions. Unheated mud is also available on some of the public beaches at the Dead Sea. The mud should not be allowed to dry on the skin, but should be moistened periodically with water from thermomineral pools and rinsed off thoroughly after treatment.
