Fact: infants from birth to one year
old can experience harmful irregular
breathing patterns or stop
breathing completely.
No one really knows why. And it
can happen to any baby - premature
or full term, healthy or not. But there
are certain precautions concerned
parents can take. Like the
BABYSENSE Respiratory Monitor.
Simple to use, BABYSENSE alerts you with a loud
alarm if the infant's breathing and movement stop.
This could be a sign of central Apnea that can
cause Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), or a
sign of other kind of distress.
Normal breathing and movement causes a green
light to flash which can be clearly seen from
several feet - giving you peace of mind.
Simple and Safe to Use
BABYSENSE includes two sensor panels which
fit safely under the mattress. No part of the device
ever comes into direct contact with the infant.
The sensors are connected to a small, battery
operated control unit clipped to the inside of the
baby's bed.
A low-battery indicator lights when batteries need
to be replaced. There is no connection to an
electrical outlet.
How it Works
BABYSENSE constantly senses and responds to
your baby's breathing and movement. Each
breath causes a green light to flash.
If the infant stops breathing and moving for more
then 20 seconds or if the breath rate drops below
10 breaths per minute, a loud alarm is sounded
producing a 85 dB sound at one meter distance.
When the alarm is sounded, parents shoud revive
the infant using the procedure described in the
included instructions.
