Vitamed Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. is one of the largest Israeli pharmaceutical companies, manufacturing, developing and distributing pharmaceuticals.
The company is comprised of two units, namely a human pharmaceuticals unit and a veterinary unit.
Vitamed's product line is based on generic pharmaceutical products with high manufacturing sophistication and high quality demands - a new sterile eye drops line, a dedicated penicillin facility, a penicillin clean room manufacturing vials for injection, etc.
Until the early 80's the company concentrated its efforts on the veterinary unit and is the leading company in the large animal pharmaceuticals sector in Israel.
At that stage the company identified the growing potential of the human generic pharmaceuticals market and shifted its focus and efforts to establishing its position in this market.
In a short period of time the company has succeeded in positioning itself as one of the leading human pharmaceuticals manufacturers in Israel.
The company's accelerated growth process includes additional support and investment both in the manufacturing facilities and in the marketing and distribution operations of the company.
The company's offices and main manufacturing facilities are located in Binyamina, some 50 kilometers north of Tel Aviv, and the company operates a smaller manufacturing facility in Bat Yam, in the Tel Aviv region.
Vitamed is devoted to the development and timely presentation of new generic pharmaceuticals and has a wide range of products in its development pipeline.
The company holds a high degree of GMP standards in its manufacturing facilities, laboratories and warehouses, and is authorized and supervised by the Israeli Health Authorities.
Vitamed is constantly looking to expand its operations through the importation and distribution of Ethical and Generic pharmaceuticals in Israel, and through the export of Vitamed's Products.
